About us
The idea for Delicious Data was born when we had a late lunch at our cafeteria and there was still plenty of food available. That was the moment when we started to think about how kitchens plan their menus and numbers of meals. In Germany alone, restaurants and other food service businesses throw away roughly 2 million tons of food every year. The main reason for this problem is overproduction due to uncertain guest demand. Our software solves this issue by precisely predicting the number of meals needed, based on people’s behaviour and external data such as the weather. Currently we are focussing on the DACH region and plan to serve customers in other European countries in 2020. Our successful fundraising activities allow us to start building a team that joins our mission of reducing global food waste!
Your Role

As one of the first full-time employees at delicious data you enable our customers to transform how they plan and think about one of the biggest problems of today's world: Food Waste. With this goal in mind, your main focus will be to get people interested in delicious data and our mission. That means you’re not afraid to pick up the phone and tell people about us, but you will also network and represent delicious data at trade shows and other events. Our sales team consistently wants to deliver exceptional growth by enabling each member of our team with the support, resources, and tools they need to be successful every day. Your ideas and learnings help us to improve and build an amazing team. 

Your Focus
  • Developing new ideas for identifying potential key customers.

  • Using social media channels to identify business opportunities.

  • Generate interest in our product through phone calls, networking and events.

  • Prospect, build and grow a strong pipeline.

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generating targets.

  • Visit prospective customers within Europe, hold product presentations and draft offers.

  • Take care of existing customers to understand their needs, build trust and help them to tune their workflow to accelerate their processes.

Your profile
  • You can easily connect with other people, inspire them and get them interested in what you do.

  • We’re in this together. You are an honest, trustworthy person that communicates openly. 

  • You are results-oriented and interested in being part of a fast-paced sales environment.

  • You have 1-2 years of business development experience or are a recent graduate with startup internship experience.

  • You master both German and English on level C1.

  • Experience owning a quota or some form of performance-based delivery is a plus.
